OBJECTIVES:
- Describe the social, economic, political, religious and cultural a comprehensive study of the past.
- Acquire knowledge of historical texts, sources and how historians interpret past.
- Understand the basic themes, concepts, chronology and the Scope of Indian History
- Explain the positive and negative impacts of travel and tourism and the importance of sustainability.
- Develop research skills, write papers and demonstrate the ability to interpret on their own.
- Prepare for various types of Competitive Examinations
Introduction to the Department:
The Department of History was established at the very inception of the college in 1975. It has been the hub of excellence through innovation. Many dedicated and committed lecturers have been actively associated with the department teaching History, imparting sound knowledge and moulding the character of the students. ‘The more you know about the past the better prepared you are for the future’ has always been the motto of the faculty.
