WELCOME
TO DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
- Since our founding in 1998, the Department of Computer Science has worked to foster an environment of academic excellence where innovative ideas, cutting-edge research, and scholarship thrive, and where future leaders and innovators can emerge.
- Our team of highly skilled and committed teaching faculty is ably supported by a group of technical support workers to maintain the campus thriving as a knowledge temple while everyone adheres to self-imposed discipline.
- It boasts outstanding amenities and infrastructure for students. To ensure that our students graduate with the most recent information in both software and hardware, the management makes it a point to periodically switch to the newest models of both hardware and software in order to stay up with the industries constantly evolving needs.
AIM:
A certificate of leaving The goal of computer science education is to help students become more creative and proficient in solving problems, as well as to work both independently and cooperatively. The core ideas and methods of computer science will be applied, and students will gain an understanding of the various applications of computing technology in society and their immediate surroundings. A computer science education will foster students passions and interests while enabling them to interact with the outside world with courage and initiative.
VISION:To establish itself as a center of excellence for training high-caliber computer scientists with expertise in software, a propensity for research, and moral principles to meet the demands of business and society.
MISSION:
- To create an academic setting that will enable qualified professionals to grow into leaders in the field of computer science by equipping them with the knowledge, abilities, values, and self-assurance they need.
- To cultivate research culture resulting in knowledge and innovative technologies that contributes to sustainable development of the society.
- To enhance academic collaborations for global exposure.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
Improve your
ability to solve problems:
- To solve
problems, use logical, computational, and creative thinking. Determine the
issue, conduct an analysis, create an algorithm for a solution that will
systematically process the data needed to generate the desired result, and then
put the algorithm into practice as a computer program.
Develop your programming skills:
- Recognize and
become proficient in the basic programming constructs and styles. Develop,
test, and debug software efficiently with a variety of software tools.
Obtain a thorough understanding of computer systems:
- Acquire a basic understanding of the concepts and relationships between various computing system topics, including operating systems, computer networks, programming language paradigms, and high-performance computing. Acquaint yourself with the different levels of hardware-software interface.
Recognize the
basic ideas behind computing:
- Grasp the theoretical foundations of computation such as logic and discrete mathematics, formal models of computation, and complexity analysis of algorithms.
UNIQUE FEATURES:
Principal areas of study within Computer Science include artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, security, database systems, human computer interaction, vision and graphics, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, bioinformatics and theory of computing.
